Happy Fourth of July Wreath!

Happy Fourth of July everyone! Hope you are enjoying this day with friends and family. Coming from a military family, I will always have a special place in my heart for the red, white and blue. So to honor today, I made a red, white and blue yarn wreath. Check it out..

I used a straw wreath that was tightly wrapped because I couldn't find any styrofoam ones. ha
the yarn was on sale for $1 each and the star was $2 at Joann's.

I started with red and started wrapping. ( don't mind the pjs.. it was a lazy Sunday)

I wrapped three sections of red and two of white and hot glued the last piece to the wreath. I left double the amount of space for the blue.

Then I spray painted the star white.

And wrote my brothers names on the star.

I hot glued the star onto the blue yarn.  Here is the finished project.

I made a little loop at the top and hot glued it to the wreath as well.

And here it is on the door. I LOVE it! So bright and festive and can be also used for Memorial Day and Labor Day :)

What are your plans today??

That is lovely and meaningful. And it does not look that difficult. I just cooked and reread the D of I.
